As the VP of Creative, you will be at the forefront of our agency's creative endeavors, leading a team of talented artists in copy- and design-focused roles. Your role will encompass setting the creative vision, guiding the execution of projects from concept to completion, and ensuring alignment with client objectives and agency goals. Additionally, you will play a role in driving the growth and success of our agency as a member of the leadership team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute creative strategies that align with client objectives and agency goals.
- Lead the conceptualization, execution, and delivery of creative projects, adhering to timelines, budgets and quality standards.
- Drive the development of engaging scenarios and frameworks that reconcile business and user needs.
- Cast a strong creative vision for multi-disciplinary campaigns, integrating across all media channels.
- Direct and mentor designers, art directors, content strategists and copywriters.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure integration of creative initiatives with client strategies.
- Lead new business pitches and present work to clients, prospects and colleagues.
- Cultivate a collaborative environment conducive to innovation, growth and optimal performance.
- Inspire and guide professional development for the creative team.
- Conduct annual performance appraisals and contribute to staffing plans and department budgeting.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies and creative best practices.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, art, marketing or communications, or equivalent combination of education + experience
- 10+ years’ experience in a marketing agency, including at least 3 years in B2B accounts
- Minimum 3 years of demonstrated success supervising others
- A solid portfolio demonstrating creativity and strategic thinking
- Proven problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent time management, organization and communication skills
- Expert in Adobe Creative Suites and/or other industry-standard design software and tools
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Teams, Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
