SCHERMER, a nationally recognized B2B marketing agency, is looking for a dynamic Vice President of Finance & Administration to partner with our President and leadership team. This role combines strategic financial planning with employee-centric HR management to help propel our agency to new heights. In this pivotal position, you’ll oversee and refine financial and business administration while contributing to high-level decision-making. From managing financial reporting and cash flow trends to cultivating a supportive and innovative workplace culture, you’ll play a key role in ensuring SCHERMER thrives.

- Deliver timely and insightful financial reviews (balance sheets, P&L, cash flow).
- Manage A/P, A/R and GL accounting
- Drive client billing, revenue recognition, and collections to optimize cash flow.
- Mastermind forecast and budgets to help achieve organizational goals.
- Build and maintain relationships with our CPA firm, bank, payroll provider, and other key partners.
- Develop and refine financial policies and operating procedures.
Human Resources:
- Oversee payroll processing, compliance, and benefits administration.
- Enhance employee onboarding, performance management, and professional development.
- Provide guidance to managers on performance and employee relations issues.
- Collaborate on strategic staffing plans and compensation analysis.
Technology & Operations:

What You'll Bring:
- 8+ years of finance and HR experience, including 2+ years in the professional services sector.
- 2+ years in a marketing agency preferred.
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Expertise in financial management.
- Understanding of human resources best practices.
- A problem-solving mindset with an eye for process improvement.
- Outstanding organizational and communication skills.
- Dedication to dotting every I and crossing every T
- Experience with MS Office, Teams & Sharepoint, including advanced Excel skills
- Knowledge of Workamajig agency management software a plus
